A bike Fit at DavFit is perfect for any cyclists of any level or experience. David uses a comprehensive step by step process combined of 8 components to make your Bike Fit all about the bike and you. The human body only has limited contact points with the bike and each one can present unusual symptoms or pains. Using the latest methods and technology David will analyse each of these contact points to assess your posture and anatomy, address any physical issues and make informed and experienced adjustments to the bike all while consulting with the most important component of the bike, You. A detailed report of your bike fit is supplied with all measurements and adjustments to the bike for future reference. These can be used to inform on new bike purchase, the rebuild of your bike should you ever have to dismantle it for traveling or storage/ repairs. Corrective exercises and advice given to help correct or improve on inefficiencies or injuries presented. A follow up is also provided.
The 8 components of a DavFit Bike Fit
Component 1 Consultation and physical assessment. Body measurement.
Component 2 Reach Strength, Core and Flexibility tests. Squat test and movement patterns assessed.
Component 3 Cleat assessment and setup/ correction. Treadmill test for Foot and gait analysis.
Component 4 Cycling 2DMA motion analysis used to determine the rider/athlete’s current position and identify possible improvements to position or bike or both bringing the rider and bike together as one.
Laser analysis for knee alignment and hip balancing. Further adjustments to cleats or shoes possible at this point.
Component 5 Bike adjustments performed using the stem sizer, Handlebar sizer and saddle selector.
Component 6 Riders position and posture re analysed and further adjustments carried out if needed.
Component 7 Report produced and explained to the client. Advice on injuries and strengthening exercises given to correct imbalance or weaknesses
Component 8 Follow up and check in for client to report back on progress.
